Leadership Facilitation Skills
This programme is tailored to client requirement and is delivered as a two day programme
Programme Aim
The aim of this programme is to provide the essential skills, knowledge and attitudes to harness the energies and expertise of individuals and teams, by achieving meaningful communication and facilitating group problem solving sessions, with a highly developed emotional intelligence.
Objectives
At the end of this programme participants will be able to:
- Facilitate focused and action orientated group discussions that have balanced participation
- List the attributes of excellent communicators and facilitators
- Recognise the value of two-way communication for ensuring understanding
- Achieve a quantum leap in emotional intelligence which includes intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligences
- Develop an empathetic communicative approach by recognising different learning styles and talking their ‘language’
- Motivate teams to embrace, participate and drive continuous improvement/structured problem solving

Unit Plan
The programme will include the following units:
- Communication (one to one)
- Facilitation
- Honey & Mumford’s Learning Styles
- Emotional Intelligence including intra & interpersonal intelligences
- Making Things Happen – Role plays using facilitation, EQ and structured problem solving
Delivery
The programme is delivered in a highly participatory manner applying the 80:20 Rule, whereby, the trainer aims to achieve 80% of the content from the participants and deliver the further 20% content omitted. This is a rule of thumb and varies dramatically. A range of interactive tools are employed to ensure focus, action orientation and balanced participation. The programme is delivered in a light-hearted manner and focuses on relevant skills, knowledge and attitudes that deliver results.
