Programme Aim
The aim of this programme is to equip the learner with the relevant skills, knowledge and attitudes to harness the energy of their teams and work as an emotionally intelligent leader, independently and/or in a managerial capacity to achieve the maximum team performance, in accordance with international best practice.

Objectives
At the end of the programme learners will be able to:
- Acquire the theoretical knowledge to understand the role and responsibilities of a ‘proactive’ team leader
- Explore a range of supervisory, management and leadership skills including planning, group facilitation, performance conversations, hosting meetings and time management
- Develop the critical interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence to motivate, lead and support individuals and/or teams
- Demonstrate the confidence to deal with a variety of challenging situations
- Develop good work practices appropriate to a role as team leader

Delivery
The programme is delivered in a highly participatory manner applying the 80:20 Rule, whereby, the trainer aims to achieve 80% of the content from the participants and deliver the further 20% content omitted. This is a rule of thumb and varies dramatically. A range of interactive tools are employed to ensure focus, action orientation and balanced participation. The programme is delivered in a light-hearted manner and focuses on relevant skills, knowledge and attitudes that deliver results.
